Dyan is currently the CEO of HS1 Ltd and has over 10 years’ experience at board level having held non-executive directorships at East West Railway Co, The British Transport Police Authority and East & North Herts Foundation Trust (NHS). Dyan is currently Chair of The National Skills Academy for Rail and in the past has been a trustee for The Railway Children, and Women in Rail, both registered charities. In March 2022 she was appointed to the Board of Great Britain’s Railways.
Specific areas of expertise include transformational change, strategic planning, operations and understanding complex systems. Dyan was Head of Operations for Network Rail and led on strategic safety risk reduction initiatives and acted as the national media lead on operational matters.
In her current role as CEO at HS1, Dyan had led the organisation through the pandemic crisis, delivered exceptional asset performance through the supply chain, responded to a severe revenue shock and maintained the liquidity of the company. Her exceptional stakeholder management skills have maintained lender and government confidence in the business.
The role consists of leading a team of 60 people with delivering an EBITDA of £200m per annum.
